Enabling Workflows

Whether you use it for network planning, provisioning new services, or troubleshooting your network, LiveAction software adds unparalleled versatility and cohesiveness to your daily project workflows.

For example, you can use LiveAction NetFlow with QoS monitoring to uncover and visualize issues that need to be resolved. Then you can set up tests with LiveAction IP SLA to determine the best course of action, followed by LiveAction QoS to make the adjustments needed to remediate the situation. A final look using LiveAction NetFlow and QoS monitoring will confirm your results.

Your entire workflows can be completed with LiveAction and often in a single work session. This all-in-one approach makes optimizing the quality of your network extremely fast, efficient and highly effective.

  1. Analyze/Assess – LiveAction’s real-time NetFlow analysis gives you instant, end-to-end, visual understanding of the traffic flows and applications running through your network. Transition to device and interface views and get detailed, per-interface traffic information including per-class rates and drops. This combination gives you all the information you need to quickly analyze network performance or find problems.
  2. Configure/Adjust – Making changes to live networks can be intimidating. Particularly if those changes involve the complexities and idiosyncrasies of QoS. LiveAction’s built-in expert capability lets you build and adjust policies and deploy them with confidence. Hundreds of device rules and Cisco best practices have been coded into the GUI to let you get changes right the first time.
  3. Verify and readjust – Once your changes are made you need to validate your assumptions and make sure they are working as expected. LiveAction gives you easy access to Cisco’s built-in IPSLA traffic generation and analysis to set up tests and view results graphically. Create synthetic voice, web and other data traffic to measure jitter, packet loss and even voice quality measurements. Switch effortlessly between LiveAction’s NetFlow, QoS monitoring and IPSLA results to get a complete perspective on the network and the effect of the changes you have made. Make new adjustments or set up new tests to get your network running right.
