The site report from the LiveAction system dashboard provides site-specific characteristics in terms of inbound/outbound bandwidth utilizations, CPU/memory usage and aids in determining site performance. These sites would have been pre-defined with meaningful names, WAN interface inclusions, and connection labels to specific service providers.
LiveAction monitors and analyzes network and application traffic with Cisco NetFlow and QoS technologies. It uses NetFlow data (traditional NetFlow, AVC, Medianet, wireless, etc.) to capture and examine flows, bandwidth, traffic patterns, and performance characteristics such as delay, packet loss, and jitter. It visualizes the end-to-end flows across a network topology of discovered devices and color-code them by DSCP, port, IP address, etc. for easy understanding of flow and QoS characteristics across the network.
LiveAction enables Cisco Flexible NetFlow (FnF) simply and efficiently so networks can quickly leverage Cisco advanced flow technologies to monitor and analyze application and network performance. Cisco FnF provides enhancements over Netflow v5 or v9 in its ability to selectively export data. FNF also supports deep packet inspection, NBAR, IPv6, VoIP and video traffic monitoring. There are a number of steps to configure FnF including complex CLIs and configuration of one device at a time.
