ActionPacked! Networks is a privately-held company that develops intelligent, action-oriented software to help IT engineers achieve live situational awareness and interactive control of their networks.
The company’s LiveAction software is a totally new and effortless, all-in-one approach for configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting Cisco devices on live networks. It provides IT professionals with an intelligent and highly visual means of unleashing many of the underutilized features trapped inside their network devices. LiveAction consists of a scalable software framework with modules for QoS monitoring, QoS configuration, NetFlow, Routing, and IP SLA.
LiveAction replaces complicated error-prone command lines with an intuitive graphical user interface that includes rich visualizations of the network topology plus in-depth views of individual devices, interfaces, flows and routes. The topology view show how flows and routes traverse the network in real time and highlights any sources of congestion.
LiveAction has a built-in expert knowledgebase so IT engineers, regardless of their experience, can perform complex router and network operations with speed, ease and confidence. LiveAction user options, configuration templates, and presets follow industry and device vendor best practices to ensure full compliance and compatibility with new and existing networks.

The fundamental problem we solve
A fundamental problem as old as networking itself is the sheer complexity of configuring, monitoring, and managing network devices. It is humanly impossible to understand and control today's networks without technological assistance. There is simply too much to learn, too many things to track, and not enough skilled talent to pull it off.
Although Cisco routers have become much more powerful and sophisticated over time, it is ironic that the primary user interface in 2009 is still a 1980's style command line interface or CLI. And to this day, the industry practice for coping with this complexity has been to increase the level of training and certifications for IT engineers. The only alternative is to simply abandon attempts to utilize the full potential of these devices. Despite this, device and third party vendors won't consider the most obvious and clearly needed solution which is to make network devices easier to use and understand.
ActionPacked! Networks realized that even CCIE level engineers will never be able to exploit the full potential of their networks and devices using the CLI or other rudimentary tools. After years of painstaking research of the commands, features, and even behavioral idiosyncacies of Cisco devices, ActionPacked! engineers developed LiveAction software as a solution to turn this problem completely inside out.
Using LiveAction, the same network devices that were once too complicated to understand have become a friendly, enabling technology. Imagine your existing routers and switches suddenly showing you the live interplay between devices, applications, and users and then correlating all of this information for you. Imagine your devices working together to automatically create a panoramic topology view of your network so you can literally see live routes and flows make their way from source to final destination. Imagine your devices helping you create new QoS policies and even change configurations on-the-fly with speed, safety, and confidence. We believe this is what network engineers really need. This is what makes LiveAction different.
